DESCRIPTION:There will be a Cenotaph Ceremony at the Okotoks Cenotaph on Su
 nday 4th May at 1100am to commemorate The Battle of the Atlantic\, VE Day 
 and the Liberation of the Netherlands.\n\nThe Battle of the Atlantic was 
 the longest naval campaign of World War II\, lasting from 1939 to 1945. It
  involved a struggle for control of the Atlantic sea routes between the Al
 lied and Axis powers\, primarily Germany\, as the Allies needed to transpo
 rt supplies and troops across the ocean. The Germans aimed to disrupt thi
 s flow with their U-boats\, while the Allies countered with convoys and an
 ti-submarine warfare.

DESCRIPTION:The Rolling Barrage will once again come through Okotoks down V
 eterans’ Way and past the Cenotaph at around 16:45 hours (4:45pm) on Aug
 ust 13th. We wish to have a party of Veterans and Members greet them as th
 ey pass the Cenotaph. ***Time is tentative. As the event gets closer\, a m
 ore precise timeline will be available.\n\nThe Rolling Barrage (TRB) has b
 ecome a rolling community. It is a coast-to-coast motorbike rally\, presen
 ted by Military Minds Inc\, in support of veterans\, serving members and f
 irst responders\, as a show of strength\, and unity to conquer the stigma 
 of PTSD. The Rolling Barrage is about creating and maintaining our veteran
  and first responder community. And although we generate funds through reg
 istration\, it is not our primary goal. The funds we raise go towards oper
 ational retreats across Canada. This rolling motorcycle rally encourages v
 eterans\, serving CAF members\, and first responders\, to get together and
  confirm our sheepdog society.\n\nBrotherhood/Sisterhood is significant in
  any healing and this will show the spirit across the nation. However\, th
 is ride is open to ALL riders and not just military in nature. In fact\, w
 e openly invite civilian riders\, as a way to show resounding support for 
 our troops and those who answer the call every day in uniform.

 m).\n** This dinner is open to all Veterans (Legion members or not) and No
 n-Veteran members belonging to Branch #291 who are in good standing. Veter
 ans or spouses of Veterans who are not members of Legion #291 will need to
  provide proof of veteran status (if you haven't already been vetted).\n\n
 ** There is no-cost for the meal (food only) for Veterans\, their spouse a
 nd/or accompanying Care-giver\, or a Veteran's surviving spouse and their 
 accompanying Care-giver (if applicable).\n\n** The cost of the meal (food 
 only) for Non-Veteran members\, in good standing\, of Branch #291 and ther
 e guest is $35.00 per person. Due to space limitations\, attending Non-Ve
 teran members of Legion Branch #291 are limited to inviting one accompanyi
 ng guest.\n\n** No persons under the age of 18 are permitted to attend.\n\

DESCRIPTION:Meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month at 7pm (exc
 luding July &amp\; August). The Agenda and Minutes of the previous meeting
  are emailed to members prior to commencement of the meeting. The number o
 f agenda items usually dictates the length of the meeting but a couple of 
 hours is normal. Members are encouraged to arrive early (and stay a few mi
 nutes late) if they so wish to assist in setting up the room.
